Assistant Commandant for Prevention Policy speaking at 2014 Offshore Technology Conference

The Coast Guard’s Assistant Commandant for Prevention Policy , Rear Adm. Joseph Servidio, is attending the 2014 Offshore Technology Conference , in Houston, Texas, as a keynote speaker. Servidio will be joined by the Director of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement , Brian Salerno.

Servidio and Salerno will be speaking about improving safety management systems and the safety culture offshore as well as providing updates on recent activities focused on improving offshore safety and operational excellence through the use of Safety Management Systems. They will highlight how the U.S. Coast Guard and BSEE will work together to accomplish this objective.

Servidio will speak at two events on Thursday, May 8th, 2014:

7:00-9:00a.m. “Pursuing Operational Excellence through Safety Management Systems”

12:15-1:45p.m. “Improving Safety Management Systems and Recognizing Contributions”
