The Coast Guard published a Federal Register notice announcing that it will impose conditions of entry on vessels arriving from the Federal Republic of Nigeria with the exception of vessels arriving from certain ports.
As delegated, 46 U.S.C. section 70110 authorizes the Coast Guard to impose conditions of entry on vessels arriving in U.S. waters from ports that the Coast Guard has not found to maintain effective anti-terrorism measures.
View the Federal Register notice for further information and a list of ports that are exempted from the conditions of entry being imposed.
The policy announced in this notice will become effective June 26, 2014.
