The RSVP deadline for the Polar Code public workshop is today and there is still space available. Those who would like to attend should contact the Coast Guard as soon as possible as we can only accommodate requests up to the capacity of the room.
July 1, 2014, the Coast Guard announced that it will hold a public workshop in Seattle, WA on topics related to the development of a mandatory code for ships operating in polar waters, referred to as the Polar Code, by the International Maritime Organization.
This workshop is intended to be an interactive exchange of information between policymakers, industry experts, and interested members of the public.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014.
