The Coast Guard congratulates the Port of Boston Area Maritime Security Committee as the recipient of the 2013 AMSC of the Year award.
The award is based on outstanding achievements and contribution in safeguarding our nation’s Marine Transportation System, including port areas, adjacent waterways, coastal and shore areas, waterfront facilities and other maritime critical infrastructure.
The awards selection committee also recognized the other nominees for the 2013 AMSC of the Year award.

• Port of New York/New Jersey and Port of Albany AMSC
• Long Island Sound AMSC
• Honolulu AMSC
• Southeast Alaska AMSC
• Pittsburgh AMSC
• Ohio Valley AMSC
• Lower Mississippi River AMSC
• Sabine-Neches AMSC
The award will be presented to the Boston AMSC at the AMSC and Harbor Safety Committee conference on 25-27 August 2014 in Philadelphia, PA.
