The Coast Guard posted a notice inviting comments from governors of states or their designated representatives on the request for payment from the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund in an amount not to exceed $250,000 for removal costs consistent with the National Contingency Plan required for the immediate removal of a discharge, or the mitigation or prevention of a substantial threat of a discharge, of oil.
View the Federal Register notice for further details and information on how to comment.
In particular, the Coast Guard would appreciate comments addressing:
(1) The practical utility of the Collections;
(2) The accuracy of the estimated burden of the Collections;
(3) Ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of information subject to the Collections;
(4) Ways to minimize the burden of the Collections on respondents, including the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology.
All comments and related material must be submitted on or before November 17, 2014.
