As of November 7, 2014 the National Vessel Documentation Center, or NVDC, will suspend the issuance of Temporary Certificates of Documentation, or TCOD. The purpose of issuing TCODs was to allow recreational boat owners to legally operate their vessels during the peak summer boating season (late May through September) while the NVDC worked through their almost four month backlog.
Please note, applications that have been received by close of business November 7, 2014 will be reviewed and if the requirements are met, a TCOD issued.
