1/8/2015: Maritime cyber security learning seminar and symposium

Rutgers University and CCICADA, the Command, Control, and Interoperability Center for Advanced Data Analysis, a DHS Center of Excellence, are jointly sponsoring a maritime cyber security seminar March 2-3, at Rutgers University.

The event will feature Coast Guard and other maritime security and cyber security professionals. It will address the full spectrum of maritime cyber threats, vulnerabilities and consequences. Topics will include:

• Shipboard Systems and Oil Rigs
• Port Operations, Mobile Devices, Cargo Control
• Resilience and Recovery Planning
• Navigation Systems
• Education, Training, and Human Factors
The U.S. Coast Guard recognizes cyber security as a significant and growing segment of risks facing the marine transportation system. This seminar is one way maritime professionals can learn more about this important topic.
