The Coast Guard proposes to amend its regulations for commercial diving that is conducted from deepwater ports, deepwater port safety zones, in connection with Outer Continental Shelf activities or from vessels that are required to have a Coast Guard certificate of inspection.
The purpose is to propose revisions and updates to existing Coast Guard commercial diving regulations, improve safety, reflect current industry best practices and to facilitate the use of approved third-party organizations to ensure regulatory compliance.
The Coast Guard is seeking comment; comments and related material must be submitted on or before May 20, 2015.
