The Coast Guard announced that it will hold a public meeting to receive comments on a notice of proposed rulemaking to amend Coast Guard regulations governing requirements for mobile offshore drilling units, or MODUs, and other vessels conducting Outer Continental Shelf activities with dynamic positioning systems.
The proposed regulations would establish minimum design, operation, training and manning standards for MODUs and other vessels using dynamic positioning systems to engage in Outer Continental Shelf activities.
The meeting will be held March 31 in New Orleans, Louisiana. This meeting will be open to the public.
