The United States Coast Guard is updating its Marine Information for Safety and Law Enforcement, or MISLE 5.0, database system starting Wednesday September 9, 2015 and is expected to be completed on Saturday September 12, 2015.
As a result, the National Vessel Documentation Center’s Vessel Documentation System, or VDS, database system will be off line throughout this evolution.
During this time, the National Documentation Center will not have access to VDS and will not be able to provide any normal services, including phone services, from close of business Tuesday 8 September 2015 through Friday 11 September 2015. Full service is expected to resume on Monday morning, September 14, 2015.
The Coast Guard recognizes the inconvenience and apologizes for any disruptions this may cause.
