1/27/2016: Marine board of investigation – Loss of the El Faro

The Coast Guard published a media release about the loss of the S.S. El Faro, with 33 persons missing and presumed dead on October 1, 2015 near Crooked Island, Bahamas.

The media release announces that the Coast Guard will conduct a public marine board of investigation hearing into the loss of the United States-flagged steam ship, El Faro, and its 33 crewmembers.
