2/3/2016: Outer Continental Shelf floating facilities – Memorandum of Agreement

The Coast Guard and Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, or BSEE, sign an updated Memorandum of Agreement for regulating floating facilities on the Outer Continental Shelf.

Rear Adm. Paul Thomas and BSEE’s Director Brian Salerno signed an updated Memorandum of Agreement for regulating floating facilities on the Outer Continental Shelf, or OCS. The MOA was implemented in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the BSEE and the Coast Guard signed November 27, 2012.

The updated MOA is a significant milestone in furthering the development of coordinated oversight of floating OCS facilities by both agencies.
