Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Paul Zukunft will deliver the 2016 State of the Coast Guard Address Feb. 23, 2016, at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
This will be Adm. Zukunft’s second State of the Coast Guard Address and he will participate in a media availability event immediately following the address.
Following the annual release of the President’s Budget Request to Congress, the Commandant of the Coast Guard delivers the State of the Coast Guard Address. This annual speech affords the commandant a venue to recognize Service accomplishments, reinforce his strategic intent and provide direction for the coming year.
