The Coast Guard published Marine Safety Information Bulletin 02-16 announcing the cancellation of Commercial Vessel Compliance Policy Letter 15-05 which concerned out-of-water survival craft requirements. This policy letter is cancelled, effective immediately.

The Coast Guard Authorization Act had two significant effects on the applicability of this policy letter which rendered it obsolete.
