The Coast Guard published Marine Safety Information Bulletin (MSIB) 07-16 to announce an update to the Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO) Guidelines.
The Office of Marine Environmental Response Policy (CG-MER) and the National Strike Force Coordination Center (NSFCC) with the assistance of private/public sector subject matter experts updated the OSRO guidelines to address current risks posed by heavy and Group V oils and elaborate on the Coast Guard’s preparedness assessment visit program.
