4/15/2016: Reminder use of old form for ballast water reporting discontinued

The Coast Guard published updated Ballast Water Management Reporting and Recordkeeping requirements on November 24, 2015. Beginning February 22, 2016, the reporting was scheduled to transition to new reporting form as part of these updated regulations. To assist industry in adjusting to the new reporting forms, a transitional period was implemented.

However, beginning May 1, 2016, this transitional period will expire. The Coast Guard expects vessel owners and operators of vessels equipped with ballast water tanks and bound for ports or places in the United States will only use the new form starting on May 1, 2016.

Please visit the National Ballast Information Clearinghouse website for details.
