4/25/2016: 2016 Offshore Technology Conference – Joint USCG and BSEE panel

From the desk of Rear Adm., Paul Thomas, assistant commandant for prevention policy

Next week I will be attending the 2016 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas. I will be joining Brian Salerno, director for the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), on a panel to discuss our information sharing practices, joint inspections, new Joint Annual Report and offshore safety.

As the government agencies that jointly regulate these offshore activities, the Coast Guard and BSEE have made great progress in our promise to increase safety offshore while reducing the burden on industry.

Participate in the panel in person or on social media and learn more about how we have changed our operations and hear important updates and trends facing this complex industry.

I’m looking forward to the panel and hearing from you, our stakeholders.
