The Coast Guard announced the release of Change 1 to NVIC 07-14, Guidelines for Qualification for STCW Endorsements as Rating Forming Part of an Engineering Watch.

This change revises the NVIC for ratings forming part of the engineering watch and makes the following changes:

• Corrects errors in propulsion mode for various assessments and the associated limitations
• Modifies the record of assessment to reduce confusion and remove unnecessary information
