The Coast Guard issued a notice announcing that nine maritime nationwide differential global positioning system (NDGPS) sites will soon be decommissioned.
The following maritime sites will be disestablished:
- Brunswick, Maine
- Cold Bay, Alaska
- Isabela, Puerto Rico
- Eglin, Florida
- Lompoc, California
- Pickford, Michigan
- Saginaw Bay, Michigan
- Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin
- Key West
Termination of the NDGPS broadcast is planned to occur 30 days from this announcement.
