8/5/2016: Interim Outer Continental Shelf risk-based resource allocation methodology

The Coast Guard announces the availability of an interim risk-based resource allocation methodology for inspections of certain Outer Continental Shelf  units in the 8th Coast Guard District (D8) area of responsibility.

This interim methodology was implemented for a five-month trial period beginning Aug. 1, 2016. After the trial period, the methodology will be finalized within D8 and submitted to Coast Guard Headquarters for consideration at the national level.

The Coast Guard encourages stakeholders to submit comments on the interim risk-based resource allocation methodology for inspection of OCS units in the D8 area of responsibility. All comments and related materials must reach the Coast Guard by Sept. 6, 2016.
