A public Formal Marine Investigation to look into the sinking of the fishing vessel Alaska Juris, has been set for Monday, December 5 in Seattle.
The intent of the Formal Investigation is to interview witnesses and gather information in a public setting about the cause of the sinking of the fishing/processor vessel Alaska Juris, which sank in approximately 5,400 feet of water and was operating approximately 690 miles west of Dutch Harbor, Alaska on July 26, 2016.
For all interested, the hearings will be live streamed on the U.S. Coast Guard Investigations LiveStream account, and pertinent information will also be shared on @USCGAlaska and @maritimecommons.
