12/23/2016: Towing Safety Advisory Committee meeting – January 2017

The Towing Safety Advisory Committee will meet, via teleconference, to discuss the five current tasks of the Committee. The Committee is expected to receive the final report from the subcommittee on Electronic Charting Systems and an interim final report from the subcommittee on Implementation of Subchapter M. The subcommittee on Implementation of Subchapter M will also receive additional tasking to review a Towing Safety Management System Option Compliance Guidebook. The subcommittees on Towing of Liquefied Natural Gas Barges, Inland Firefighting Training, and Articulated Tug-Barge Operations are expected to provide progress reports.

This meeting will be open to the public and will take place via teleconference on Jan. 18, 2017.
