1/6/2017: Risk-based decision making for small passenger vessel annual inspection activity

The Coast Guard Office of Commercial Vessel Compliance issued policy letter 16-05, which provides operational flexibility to Officers in Charge, Marine Inspection (OCMIs) through guidance that authorizes the utilization of a risk-based approach to prioritize and manage passenger vessel annual activity.

The policy applies to vessels subject to Subchapters T and K.
