Adm. Paul F. Zukunft, Coast Guard commandant, will appear before the Senate Subcommittee on Oceans, Atmosphere, Fisheries, and Coast Guard, for a hearing titled, State of the Coast Guard: Ensuring Military, National Security, Enforcement Capability & Readiness.
The hearing will examine the state of the Coast Guard, the only dual military and law enforcement agency in the United States, and its role in securing maritime borders and ports while enforcing our laws, treaties and international agreements.
The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at 2:30 p.m., at the Senate Russell Office Building, Room 253. A live video feed will be available at approximately 2:25 p.m.
