The vast majority of mobile offshore drilling units operating on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf are foreign-flagged vessels. MODU regulatory applicability can be a bit complex at first look due to the numerous compliance schemes and their respective dates. In this issue of Drill Down, the OCS National Center of Expertise focuses on regulatory compliance options for foreign-flagged MODUs engaged in U.S. OCS activities.
