5/5/2017: IOSC 2017 – Technical Demonstrations

Editor’s Note: The 2017 International Oil Spill Conference is fast approaching and Maritime Commons will be there to cover Coast Guard topics for our subscribers who aren’t able to attend. Next week we’ll provide more information about the various panels and activities in which the Coast Guard will participate but below is information regarding the technical demonstrations scheduled for Wednesday, May 17.

The International Oil Spill Conference has expanded the technical demonstrations this year to incorporate 75-minute guided or self-paced tours of six different stations depicting various aspects of oil spill response. The Coast Guard’s Pacific Strike Team will be participating at several of the stations to answer questions and demonstrate equipment used by all three of the National Strike Force teams during incident responses.

Visit the IOSC 2017 technical demonstration website to find out about all of the aspects of spill response that will be highlighted in the demo, or to reserve a slot for a narrated tour.
