The National Maritime Security Advisory Committee held its spring public meeting in Norfolk, Virginia, April 25 and 26.
The members met to discuss items such as Non-Intrusive Inspection of Containers, Unmanned Aerial Systems, and the Extremely Hazardous Cargo Strategy. Additionally, the members received an update on the Coast Guard’s Cyber Risk Management efforts as well as a review of the lessons learned during the recent Cascadia Rising National Level Exercise. Electronic versions of the agenda and any presentation material used can be found on the Committee’s Homeport site.
The next meeting of the Committee is tentatively scheduled for September 19-20, 2017. The location for that meeting is to be determined.
