The Coast Guard Office of Boating Safety seeks applicants for membership on the National Boating Safety Advisory Council. This Council advises the Coast Guard on recreational boating safety regulations and other major boating safety matters.
The Coast Guard is considering applications for seven positions that expire or become vacant Jan. 1, 2018:
- Three representatives of state officials responsible for state boating safety programs.
- Two representatives of recreational boat and associated equipment manufacturers
- Two representatives of national recreational boating organizations or the general public
Applications should reach the Coast Guard on or before Aug. 29, 2017. For more information about the application process, view the Federal Register notice.
