The Coast Guard announced in the Federal Register that the National Boating Safety Advisory Council and its Subcommittees will meet next month to discuss issues relating to recreational boating safety. These meetings will be open to the public.
The Council will meet Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Subcommittees will meet as follows:
- Boats and Associated Equipment Subcommittee – Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Prevention through People Subcommittee – Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, from 2:45 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Recreational Boating Safety Strategic Planning Subcommittee – Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Regulatory Reform Review Subcommittee – Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 from 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Please note that these meetings may conclude early if the National Boating Safety Advisory Council has completed all business.
All meetings will be held in the ballroom of the Holiday Inn Arlington , 4610 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, Virginia, 22203.
