The Coast Guard Office of Commercial Vessel Compliance announced the promulgation of Policy Letter 17-06, Change 1, Guidance on Hurricane Maria Relief Vessel Response Posture and Efforts to Support the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
Recent events have required clarification to the commercial marine industry on the guidance for criteria that the Coast Guard will allow for the use of certificated vessels and waivers to participate in relief efforts in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
