The Marine Safety Center issued a bulletin Oct. 31, 2017 providing an update on changes to its website. The Marine Safety Center’s official website continues to be transitioned to an enhanced platform with a new web address, which can be accessed at: www.dco.uscg.mil/msc.
During the recent Coast Guard wide migration of all of its public facing websites, the functionality of the MSC’s previously maintained websites, https://homeport.uscg.mil/msc and http://www.uscg.mil/hq/msc, has been impacted. The MSC no longer intends to maintain these websites. All MSC plan review guides, tonnage guides, and ballast water type approvals are now available on the improved website. MSC will continue to add additional references and functionality in the coming weeks. In the interim, you may experience “under construction” page notifications while navigating through site pages.
If you require assistance locating an electronic document on MSC’s website or wish to provide feedback concerning the transition, you may contact Mr. Marcus Akins of the MSC’s Tonnage Division Staff at (202) 795-6787 or marcus.j.akins@uscg.mil.
