1/18/2018: Coast Guard to provide update on implementation of new lifejacket standards

Coast Guard representatives will participate in a WebEx teleconference hosted by the Lifejacket Association (LJA) Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 to provide an update on the status of the U.S. and Canadian implementation of:

• ANSI/CAN/UL 12402-5:2015 – Personal Flotation Devices – Part 5: Buoyancy Aids (Level 50 & Level 70) – Safety Requirements
• ANSI/CAN/UL 12402-9:2015 Personal Flotation Devices – Part 9: Test Methods

Interested stakeholders are invited to participate. Agenda and presentation materials (if applicable) will be circulated prior to the meeting. The meeting details are as follows:
