The Coast Guard announced in the Federal Register that it will conduct a public meeting in Washington, DC, in preparation for the upcoming 69th session of the IMO Council to be held at the IMO Headquarters, United Kingdom, later this month.

This public meeting will be held Thursday, June 20, 2019, beginning at 10:30 a.m., Eastern Time, in Room 5L18-01 of the Douglas A. Munro Coast Guard Headquarters Building at St. Elizabeth’s, 2703 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20593.

Due to security requirements, each visitor must present two valid, government-issued forms of identification in order to gain entrance to the building.

Members of the public may attend this meeting up to the seating capacity of the room. To facilitate the building security process, and to request reasonable accommodation, those who plan to attend should contact the meeting coordinator, Lt. Cmdr. Staci Weist at 202-372-1376 or  Eustacia.Y.Weist@uscg.mil, not later than June 17, 2019. Requests made after June 17, 2019, may not be able to be accommodated. It is recommended that attendees arrive to Coast Guard Headquarters no later than 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled meeting for the security screening process.
