National Merchant Marine Personnel Advisory Committee Member Solicitation

As a courtesy to our audience, Maritime Commons will provide a daily compilation of nationally-relevant Federal Register Notices, or those notices that may impact a large segment of our readers. To provide comments for the public record, follow the Federal Register link for each individual notice. Please note, the Coast Guard cannot respond to comments on these notices outside of the Federal Register.

The Office of Merchant Mariner Credentialing is seeking applications for all membership positions in the National Merchant Marine Personnel Advisory Committee (N-MERPAC). N-MERPAC was established by the Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2018 and will replace the Merchant Marine Personnel Advisory Committee (MERPAC). MERPAC committee member appointments will not be valid for N-MERPAC. MERPAC members and those interested in N-MERPAC membership will need to submit an application as detailed in the federal register notice.

Interested applicants should contact Ms. Megan Johns Henry at (202) 372-2357 or megan.c.johns@uscg.mil with any questions or feedback.

  1. The contact number is a dead end BTW. When you press #4 for the directory, it hangs up. You might want to re-issue with correct phone # instead of dead end.

  2. The issue with the phone number was due to the voicemail being full. It has been resolved and it is now working properly.

What's on your mind?
