The Coast Guard Marine Safety Center issued the 37th U.S. Coast Guard Ballast Water Management System Type Approval Certificate to Panasonic Environmental Systems & Engineering Co., Ltd., after a detailed review of the manufacturer’s type approval application determined the system met the requirements of 46 CFR 162.060.
The treatment principle of the ATPS-BLUEsys BWMS is based on electrolysis at intake and neutralization at discharge. This approval covers nine models with maximum treatment rated capacities between 150 and 3,600 m3/h.
