The Coast Guard Office of Commercial Vessel Compliance (CG-CVC) has released an update to Work Instruction (WI)-005, Request for Recognized Organization (RO) Internal Quality Management System (QMS) Review—Quality Case.
Major changes found in revision 3 include:
- Incorporated reference (f): 46 CFR Part 2
- Expanded applicability to include non-U.S. flag vessels where ROs also perform certain delegated functions
- Added Section E—Quality Cases Stemming from Vessel Detentions
- Added Section F—Quality Case recommended by OCMI or COTP
The current revision is available to the general public on the Office of Commercial Vessel Compliance (CG-CVC) website.
