The Coast Guard Marine Safety Center issued the 50 th U.S. Coast Guard BWMS Type Approval Certificate to AQUASTAR Co., Ltd after a detailed review of the manufacturer’s type approval application determined the system meets the requirements
of 46 CFR 162.060.
The treatment principle of the AquaStar BWMS is based on filtration and electrolysis at intake and neutralization at discharge for salinities greater than 10 PSU. This approval covers eleven configurations with maximum treatment rated capacities between 200 and 5,000 m 3 /h.
