The Coast Guard Director of Incident Management and Preparedness issued Marine Safety Information Bulletin 02-20, “Novel Coronavirus,” to provide additional information and guidance to the maritime community regarding the current novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak.

Important information for vessels traveling from regions affected by recent Coronavirus outbreak

The Coast Guard Office of Emergency Management and Disaster Response Office issued Marine Safety Information Bulletin to provide information to vessel owners/operators regarding the recent coronavirus outbreak.

“All Aboard! There’s a Place for You in the Maritime Community” student art program contest winners

The contest winners’ works of art will be featured on the Coast Guard, NAMEPA and CIP-OAS websites. The two grand prize winners will receive a certificate, a bilingual (English and Spanish) calendar featuring the art of all 12 winners, a $100 cash prize and a special Coast Guard-themed package. Finalists will receive a certificate and the bilingual calendar.

3/19/2019: Commandant to deliver State of the Coast Guard Address

Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Karl Schultz will deliver the 2019 State of the Coast Guard Address, at 10 a.m., PST, Thursday, March 21, from Coast Guard Base Los Angeles/Long Beach. This is Schultz’s first State of the Coast Guard Address since his tenure as commandant began in 2018. Schultz will provide a current overview of the service and outline priorities for the year ahead.
