A working group of MERPAC will meet to review and work on Task Statement 87, concerning review of policy documents providing guidance on the implementation of the December 24, 2013 STCW and changes to national endorsements rulemaking.

The Merchant Marine Personnel Advisory Committee will meet to discuss various issues related to the training and fitness of merchant marine personnel. This meeting will be open to the public.
8/20/2014: Proposed rulemaking for commercial fishing vessels dispensing petroleum products
The Coast Guard published a notice of proposed rulemaking proposing revisions to its regulations for commercial fishing vessels carrying flammable or combustible liquid cargoes in bulk.
8/19/2014: Consumer Price Index Adjustments of Oil Pollution Act of 1990 Limits of Liability-Vessels, Deepwater Ports and Onshore Facilities
The Coast Guard proposed an increase to the limits of liability for vessels, deepwater ports and onshore facilities, under the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, as amended, to reflect significant increases in the Consumer Price Index.
8/19/2014: National Offshore Safety Advisory Committee- Public meeting
The National Offshore Safety Advisory Committee will meet via teleconference to receive a final report from the Subcommittee on Marine Casualty Reporting on the Outer Continental Shelf. This meeting will be open to the public.
