This post provides information from the National Vessel Documentation Center about a provision in the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2018 that provides recreational certificate of documentation holders the ability to select a multi-year renewal during an implementation period that runs from Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2021.
6/15/2018: 2017 Area Maritime Security Committee of the Year announced
The Coast Guard congratulates the Charleston Area Maritime Security Committee as the recipient of the 2017 AMSC of the Year award. The award is based on outstanding achievements and contributions in safeguarding the Marine Transportation System, including port areas, adjacent waterways, coastal and/or shore areas, waterfront facilities, and other maritime critical infrastructure and key assets.

6/13/2018: Updated Notice of Arrival/Departure workbooks released
Notices of Arrival/Departure Workbook Version 7.5.1 and Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Notice of Arrival Workbook 1.5.1 are now available on NVMC’s. These updated versions provide corrections for the display of ports when the country of Georgia is selected. The official XLS workbooks are provided as a non XML venue for submissions of Notices of Arrival/Departure to the National Vessel Movement Center.
