The Coast Guard announced a public meeting will take place on Feb. 9, 2015, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to receive comments on a notice of proposed rulemaking published in the Federal Register on Dec. 10, 2014, under the title “Consolidated Cruise Ship Security Regulations.”
The Coast Guard proposes to amend its regulations on cruise ship terminal security to provide detailed and flexible requirements for screening of persons and items intended for carriage on a cruise ship.
