The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking applications from the maritime industry for the 2020 Benkert Award for Environmental Excellence. Applications are due by January 31, 2020.
“All Aboard! There’s a Place for You in the Maritime Community” student art program contest winners
The contest winners’ works of art will be featured on the Coast Guard, NAMEPA and CIP-OAS websites. The two grand prize winners will receive a certificate, a bilingual (English and Spanish) calendar featuring the art of all 12 winners, a $100 cash prize and a special Coast Guard-themed package. Finalists will receive a certificate and the bilingual calendar.

Each year, the Coast Guard, in partnership with the North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA), Mystic Aquarium and the Inter-American Committee on Ports of the Organization of American States (OAS-CIP), sponsors a student art program contest with themes that relate to the marine environment.
