The Coast Guard is seeking comments on a Port Access Route Study (PARS) to evaluate the adequacy of existing vessel routing measures and determine whether additional vessel routing measures are necessary for port approaches to New York and New Jersey and international and domestic transit areas in the First District area of responsibility.

The Coast Guard announced in the Federal Register that it will hold an additional public meeting in Montauk, New York, on April 29th, to receive comments on a notice of study entitled “Port Access Route Study: The Areas Offshore of Massachusetts and Rhode Island” that was published in the Federal Register in March.
