The Department of State will conduct a Coast Guard led public meeting, in Washington, DC, to prepare for the third Session of the IMO Sub-Committee on Ship Design and Construction in January 2016.
The National Offshore Safety Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting to discuss the safety of operations and other matters affecting the offshore oil and gas industry.
The Coast Guard is co-hosting a workshop with the Environmental Protection Agency to discuss sewage treatment technologies, issues concerning testing of marine sanitation devices for type approval and issues concerning gray water.
Due to having to contingency plan for a government shutdown on October 1, the intercessional MERPAC working group regarding the Review and update of IMO MSC Circular MSC/Circ.1014- “Guidelines on fatigue mitigation and management” will meet on September 29 – 30, 2015.
