10/26/2015: New FAQ on bridge-to-bridge certificate for towing vessels
A new FAQ has been posted on when towing vessels are required to have the bridge-to-bridge radiotelephone station inspected and obtain a bridge-to-bridge certificate.
10/26/2015: Offshore supply vessels, towing vessel and barge engine rating watches
The Coast Guard published a direct final rule allowing oilers serving on certain offshore support vessels, towing vessels and barges to be divided into at least two watches and increase the sea service credit affected mariners are permitted to earn for each 12-hour period of work from one day to one and a half days.

The Towing Safety Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting March 25 and 26, 2015 to review and discuss recommendations from its Subcommittees and to receive briefs.
